Senior Accountant

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial leadership for Mama Lola's, ensuring accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and compliance with GAAP. This position will lead month-end close, manage cost accounting for manufacturing operations, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in ERP systems and data analytics with a proactive approach to process improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Financial Reporting & Compliance
• Own the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Prepare and review internal and external financial reports, including audited year-end results.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control standards.
• Cost Accounting & Inventory
• Maintain accurate inventory valuation for raw materials and finished goods.
• Perform detailed COGS analysis, including margin analysis and standard cost variance reporting.
• Support manufacturing operations with cost optimization strategies.
• Analysis & Decision Support
• Develop and deliver weekly KPI and metrics reporting with actionable commentary.
• Partner with Sales to analyze customer profitability and assist with bid preparation.
• Provide insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
