Retail Security Supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 18 years of age.

• Clear a criminal background check.

• High School Diploma and/or equivalent (GED)

• Clear and effective oral and written communications skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or other customers. Pushing/pulling/carrying lifting may include up to 25 lbs (event evacuation), stair climbing. Ability to sit, twist, turn, bend as required to perform duties within the facility. Must be capable of standing for long periods of time.

Requirements:

The following are preferred qualifications for the position of Security Supervisor on the Evening Shift at Arundel Mills:

Experience:

• Minimum 2–3 years in security operations (retail/mall environment preferred).

• At least 1 year in a supervisory role (team lead, sergeant, captain).

• Skills:

• Strong leadership and conflict de-escalation

• Incident management and emergency response experience.

• Customer service skills for tenant and guest interactions.

• Technical:

• Familiarity with CCTV/control room operations.

• Ability to write clear incident reports

• Certifications:

• CPR/AED/First Aid (or ability to obtain).

• Guard card/license as required by state.

• Availability:

• Flexible for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in mall or large retail environments.

• Training experience (OJT, performance coaching).

• Familiarity with emergency evacuation plans and drills.
