Responsibilities
- Assist in framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, and fixture mounting to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently to complete various construction tasks.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials such as lumber, drywall, concrete forms, and other construction components while maintaining safety protocols.
- Install doors, cabinets, fixtures, flooring, tile, and other finishing elements to meet project specifications.
- Support restoration efforts including water damage remediation, mold removal, plastering, and general site cleanup.
- Follow schematics and technical instructions for fabrication or assembly tasks on-site or in manufacturing settings.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials; adhere strictly to safety standards at all times.
Skills
- Skilled in various carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, woodworking, cabinet installation, door hanging, and remodeling. (Commercial or Government carpentry experience is a plus)
- Proficient with hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels; power tools like drills, saws; and specialized equipment for concrete forming or rebar installation.
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety procedures; capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately; knowledge of construction processes is advantageous.
- Knowledge of processes related to metal stud framing or assembly work.
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently when needed; strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and supervisors. Pay: $ $29.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
