Software Engineer II

$87,200 – $130,800
• Hybrid (Indianapolis)

Cox Automotive is expanding its Salesforce engineering capabilities and is looking for a Software Engineer II to help build the next generation of internal tools used by 600+ employees across the organisation.

In this role, you'll work across
Salesforce (Apex, LWC)
and
backend services (Java, Spring Boot)
to deliver secure, scalable applications. You'll collaborate with Engineers and Salesforce Administrators, contribute to architectural decisions, and ship reliable, high-impact solutions that support critical business workflows.

What you'll be doing:

• Build and maintain Salesforce components (Apex, LWC)
• Develop backend services using Java & Spring Boot
• Design and implement RESTful APIs
• Work in an Agile team to deliver high-quality software
• Add observability: logging, monitoring, tracing
• Use GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Copado for CI/CD
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Write unit + system tests following secure coding principles
• Troubleshoot and support new and existing features
• Document processes and development best practices

What you'll need:

• 2+ years Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, Visualforce)
• Experience building RESTful APIs
• Understanding of secure coding practices and Agile methodologies
• Test automation experience
• Familiarity with observability tooling
• Experience with GitHub or similar version control
• Knowledge of SQL databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL)

Nice to have:

• Copado CI/CD experience
• Java + Spring Boot proficiency
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP)
