We're hiring a Maintenance Technician I, an entry-level, hands-on role for someone who enjoys learning new skills, working with their hands, and being part of a team that makes a real impact.

What You'll Do

• Assist with general maintenance and minor repairs in occupied and vacant units
• Help prepare apartments for new residents (cleaning, painting, trash removal, basic repairs)
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance from work orders
• Support grounds work such as trash pickup, weeding, and snow/ice removal
• Use and care for BHA tools, equipment, vehicles, and workspaces
• Learn from experienced Maintenance Technicians and Property Managers
• Participate in rotating, week-long after-hours emergency on-call coverage
• Work during seasonal weather events or natural disasters when needed

What We're Looking For

• Willingness to learn and work in multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC)
• Basic experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to follow instructions, complete tasks, and work independently or as part of a team
• Reliable, safety-minded, and flexible when urgent needs arise
• Respectful and customer-service-oriented
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work

Requirements

• Valid Indiana driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
• Ability to work a 35-hour work week and rotating on-call shifts
• Must be bondable and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must pass a drug test and driving record check

Pay & Details

• Starting Range: $35,661.18 – $41,341.08
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
• Reports To: Property Manager
