Job Summary

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for recording, maintaining, and reconciling all financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, sales receipts, invoices, and payments. This position ensures accuracy in the general ledger, processes accounts payable and receivable, manages sales tax filings, assists with payroll and benefits administration, and supports audit readiness. This position also manages contributed revenue streams, including donations, bequests, and grants, ensuring proper recording, classification, and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards.
