Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow across all departments.
  • Manage and motivate a diverse team, providing coaching, training, and development to enhance performance and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Support payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Implement sales strategies and marketing initiatives to boost store performance and meet sales targets.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate shift schedules, manage POS (Point of Sale) systems, and oversee cashiering activities to ensure efficient checkout experiences.
  • Conduct regular store audits, stock checks, and visual merchandising to uphold brand standards.
  • Engage in budgeting activities and sales management to optimize store profitability.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication skills, leadership, and organizational abilities.

Skills

  • Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervising responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and develop talent through training & development initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
  • Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, inventory management, merchandising, and retail math for accurate financial handling.
  • Proficient in POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and store management software.
  • Adept at customer service excellence with phone etiquette and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of retail sales techniques including marketing strategies, pricing adjustments, and promotional activities.
  • Experience with grocery or specialty retail stores is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks such as stocking, supervising staff shifts, and administrative duties.
  • Familiarity with wireless sales or other specialized product categories can be beneficial. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
