Our Material Handler directly contributes to our success by supporting daily operations by ensuring raw materials and finished goods are accessible as needed. This hands-on role regularly and frequently communicates with Production, Blending, and Warehouse teams regarding manufacturing and warehouse needs and changes.

Your day-to-day includes physical movement of materials as determined by the production schedule across multiple locations. The ideal candidate provides exemplary customer service and is proactive about continuous improvement. You are meticulous, work at a quick pace, and enjoy variety in your day and your coworkers; you're known for your agility during unforeseen change. Success is measured through accuracy, accountability, adhering to health and safety regulations, and creating a positive work environment for everyone.

This full-time, on-site position is available immediately and will be an active member of our Inventory department.

Shift Availability:

  • 2pm - 10:30pm Monday-Friday

Essential Duties

  • Unload deliveries safely from trucks/containers using approved equipment.
  • Inspect incoming goods for damage, contamination, count/lot accuracy, and PO alignment; escalate issues to Procurement/QA.
  • Record receipts in the inventory/warehouse management system promptly and accurately.
  • Label and sort inbound materials (barcodes/tags), organizing by type, destination, and storage requirements.
  • Verify temperature compliance and cold-chain integrity for temperature-controlled items.
  • Communicate discrepancies (short/over shipments, quality issues) and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Maintain receiving hygiene - clean, sanitize, and keep aisles/equipment clear to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Coordinate returns - document, stage, and ship damaged/rejected goods per SOP.

Requirements

  • Experience in production or manufacturing environment
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Operate pallet jacks/hand trucks; forklift certification is a plus

Required Skills and Responsibilities

  • Education & Certifications - High school diploma or GED (minimum); Additional certifications (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, CPR/First Aid, HAZMAT); Training in quality control or process improvement
  • Technical - Ability to operate machinery; Basic computer literacy (e.g., using ERP software); Familiarity with inventory systems and barcode scanners
  • Safety & Compliance - Knowledge of OSHA regulations; PPE compliance (e.g. safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots); Flammable materials handling
  • Soft Skills - Attention to detail and accuracy; Teamwork and communication; Time management and reliability
  • Work Environment Adaptability - Willingness to work in hot/cold/noise environments; Flexibility for shift work, weekends, or overtime; Ability to follow SOP's and work under pressure
  • Physical Requirements - Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly; Standing or walking for long periods; Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
