Job Title: Bilingual (English/Korean) On-site Project Coordinator – Logistics & Labor Operations
Location: Lansing, MI
Job Type: Full-Time / On-site
Salary Range: $70K–$80K (adjustable based on experience)
About the Position
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on On-site Project Coordinator to support daily logistics and labor operations inside a battery manufacturing facility in Lansing, MI.
This position serves as the primary on-site representative responsible for coordinating material handling, managing workforce activities, resolving issues, and maintaining seamless communication between our company and the client.
The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day logistics tasks, uphold operational standards, train new workers, and ensure safe and efficient operations on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Site Operations
- Oversee daily material supply, logistics flow, and shipping/receiving activities
- Conduct Daily Logistics Operation Checklists and report any abnormalities or risks
- Monitor on-site workflow and promptly address issues or disruptions with client supervisors
- Ensure compliance with safety rules, worksite standards, and client policies
Workforce Coordination & Training
- Plan daily/weekly staffing levels, create shift schedules, and arrange weekend crews when necessary
- Assign workers according to production needs and adjust manpower proactively
- Support onboarding of new workers, provide basic job training, and ensure smooth shift handovers
- Track attendance, manage timekeeping accuracy, and assist with employee concerns or performance issues following company guidelines
Communication & Reporting
- Communicate daily with client managers regarding production forecasts, resource needs, and priorities
- Provide daily/weekly updates to the Project Manager and client on labor status, workflow progress, and issue resolutions
- Maintain accurate records such as labor hours, incidents, logistics reports, and site performance indicators
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, staffing coordination, or manufacturing
- Experience supervising or coordinating a small to medium workforce preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive, team-focused mindset
- Ability to manage on-site challenges calmly and resolve issues quickly
- Basic understanding of HR and employee relations
- Knowledge of forklift or warehouse operations is a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean required
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Work Schedule
- Full-time, on-site at client facility
- Occasional weekend or extended hours depending on production needs
