Job Title: LCSW Clinical Supervisor( Full-Time, Part-Time)

Job Description:

We are searching for a Clinical Supervisor, open to either part-time or full-time for this position. The position is hybrid with flexible hours. We seek the right candidate who wants to supervise and continue to learn and grow as a supervisor.

About Us:

Park Slope Center for Mental Health is a community-based outpatient mental health clinic regulated by the NYS Office of Mental Health. We have delivered quality, patient-centered mental health care to children, adults, families, couples, and groups throughout Brooklyn and the five boroughs for over 30 years. PSCMH provides psychotherapy and psychopharmacology to clients of all ages. We practice in a supportive environment where weekly supervision, ongoing clinical training, and overall professional development are a priority.

Role Overview:

The LCSW Clinical Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining the clinical integrity of our clinic. They have direct supervisory and management responsibilities and are a crucial part of the life and continued growth of our agency. We are looking for individuals with ideas and drive, who are interested in maintaining high clinical standards and providing good practice through community mental health via both teaching/training and direct client work.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide weekly individual and group supervision to full-time and fee-for-service Masters-level clinicians and social work interns.
  • Ensure the continued development of clinical skills, appropriate provision of clinical interventions, and timely submission of clinical documentation.
  • Maintain a caseload of clients.
  • Provide individual and group supervision and on-site support to clinical staff, including clinical oversight of assigned cases and administrative task supervision.
  • Motivate and support staff to maintain high levels of performance in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain high ethical standards at all times.
  • Provide weekly therapy to a small caseload of clients.
  • Provide oversight, consultation, and direct assistance in risk assessment and crisis intervention, including referrals to emergency services and state central registry reports.
  • Participate in case conferences and clinical team meetings to ensure quality of care.
  • Participate in the overall professional development of the clinical team (e.g., lead trainings, complete annual performance evaluations).
  • Ensure that all direct reporting staff completes all necessary clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and referrals to outside providers, and adheres to OMH standards of compliance.
  • Perform audits of client electronic charts.
  • Attend weekly supervision and engage in professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Valid NYS LCSW required.
  • At least one year of clinical supervisory experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Strong engagement, assessment, and diagnostic skills.
  • A keen knowledge of the DSM-5.
  • Computer literacy across different basic systems.
  • Spanish/English bilingual a plus.
  • Must be organized and independent.
  • Some evening hours required, Saturday hours a plus.
  • SIFI (Seminar in Field Education) a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with comprehensive risk and suicide assessment, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
