Are you a natural problem solver who thrives on sales and building lasting relationships? Join Acme Tools and do your best work We're seeking an Outside Sales Representative who is eager to develop new business while maintaining existing accounts in the Cedar Rapids-Iowa City-Coralville-Davenport areas.

What You'll Do

  • Provide sales and product support for industrial, construction, and residential construction equipment
  • Prospect for new accounts, foster current customer relationships, and continue to grow opportunities with new and existing customers with a consultative sales approach
  • Provide a great customer experience through your knowledge of Acme Tools' product offerings, service capabilities, and current programs
  • Identify customers' opportunities and make product or service recommendations that will meet their needs
  • Schedule appointments to meet with and present products at customers' work sites or businesses
  • Showcase items through product demonstrations prior to the sale
  • Walk customers through starting procedures and breaking-in periods once product is purchased
  • Follow up after the sale to ensure customers are satisfied with their purchase and resolve and potential issues they may have
  • Participate during store events (physical inventories, sales meetings, trade shows, special sales, etc.)
  • Operate and maintain a company vehicle and any provided technology resources
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment by adhering to and striving to improve safety standards and reporting suspicious activity
  • Complete related tasks as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of direct customer service experience, preferably in outside sales
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Prior knowledge or use of tools and equipment
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • The ability to work in-store on Saturdays as business dictates
