Mechanical Engineer/CNC Programmer

We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer and a Jr. Mechanical Engineer to support the development and improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures throughout the product lifecycle. These roles work closely with Production, Quality, and R&D to support new product development, process optimization, and ongoing manufacturing operations. The Jr. Mechanical Engineer will primarily support documentation and assist the Mechanical Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures
• Collect and analyze process performance data; identify improvements
• Support prototype builds, test method development, and tolerance analysis
• Participate in process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ)
• Maintain documentation including specifications, work instructions, and quality records
• Contribute to pFMEAs, problem-solving activities, and continuous improvement projects
• Assist with equipment/fixturing development and supplier support
• Recommend process or technology improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field
• 0–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (medical device preferred)
• CNC machining experience strongly preferred; programming a plus
• Understanding of materials, DFM principles, and reliability
• Familiarity with Quality System requirements (FDA, ISO)
• Experience with SolidWorks, Minitab, or similar tools
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40, $50,000.00 per year
