We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team, specializing in conversions and retrofits of bulk material handling conveyor machinery. The role will work closely with the conversions and retrofit details of their business. As a Technical Sales Engineer you will provide technical and commercial expertise to evaluate and quote equipment upgrades, conversions, retrofits, and new capital equipment. In this role, you will collaborate with our Sales and Technical Sales teams, global engineering and supply resources, and clients. You will also support the Technical Sales Director on new and existing opportunities by understanding client needs and developing tailored technical solutions and proposals. Key Responsibilities
Technical Expertise: o Provide in depth technical knowledge and support to customers and sales managers focusing on retrofit options, conversions, and upgrades, as well as assisting with capital equipment o Prepare technical calculations, cost estimation and detailed sales proposals for customers and Sales Managers. o Collaborate with engineering, sales, commercial and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure our technical and commercial proposal meets the customer's needs as well as adhering to standards o Provide support throughout the sales, order and execution process, including Sales Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, installation and commissioning personnel, and after sales support as required. Sales and Business Development: o As part of the team, with sales support, identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for conversion and retrofit opportunities in all industries and markets o Develop and manage relationships with key decision makers. o Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing team to generate leads and promote retrofit and conversions opportunities and solutions. o Ability to travel (up to 15%), mainly domestic and North America, with some other international travel possible. Required:
Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline 3 plus years of relevant experience in technical sales, application engineering, or similar role 3 plus years of conveyor experience AutoCAD proficiency Preferred:
Bulk material handling equipment experience
