Job Overview

TriCab USA is seeking a Quality Engineer to support our Quality Management System (QMS) and provide hands-on quality and engineering support to manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure products meet specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. The Quality Engineer will manage non-conformances, support audits, assist with testing activities, and help drive continuous improvement across the organization. This position is open to entry-level and experienced candidates, including recent engineering graduates looking to grow in a manufacturing environment.

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Participate in ISO 9001 and Class Society activities and audits
  • Publish and track monthly quality KPIs and performance metrics
  • Support internal audits and follow-up on audit findings

Manufacturing & Engineering Support

  • Support manufacturing teams in producing quality products that meet specifications
  • Identify technical solutions to quality and process issues
  • Review and generate Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
  • Maintain and support on-site engineering and quality software systems
  • Report non-conforming products and materials using data-driven analysis
  • Recommend improvements based on actual production and quality data
  • Support resolution of quality issues on the production floor

Customer Focus & Corrective Actions

  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and customer returns
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented, timely, and effective
  • Address customer quality concerns in collaboration with internal teams
  • Verify effectiveness of corrective actions

Quality/Engineering & Lab Support

  • Assist with sample testing and product re-evaluation
  • Provide backup support for QC Lab testing
  • Schedule and manage product test plans
  • Ensure testing deadlines are met and reports are accurate

Audit & Compliance

  • Support internal audits and external audits (ISO 9001 and Class Society)
  • Recommend issuance of CARs, ICARs, and improvement opportunities
  • Participate in corrective action resolution and effectiveness reviews
  • Ensure audits are completed as scheduled

Documentation & Reporting

  • Draft, review, and revise procedures, work instructions, and quality forms
  • Review production paperwork for accuracy and Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Sign off on quality test results
  • Create workmanship standards and quality reports
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance

Stakeholder Support

  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Sales teams
  • Provide quality and engineering support across departments as needed

Qualifications & Experience

  • BS or MS in Engineering Preferred
  • Open to entry-level candidates as well as experienced professionals, with 1–5 years of quality engineering experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience in Wire & Cable manufacturing is a plus

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60, $85,000.00 per year
