Skills

We are seeking a seasoned Commercial Estimator with 5+ years of proven success preparing accurate estimates AND closing deals. This role is ideal for someone who understands the commercial landscape, builds strong client relationships, and brings a strategic mindset to pricing and negotiations.

You will work closely with ownership to develop winning proposals, build cost models, perform takeoffs, and present estimates that secure profitable contracts. This is not a passive estimating position—this is for someone who wants to win work and help push our company to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for:
• Commercial build-outs
• Tenant improvement projects
• Retail, grocery, hospitality, warehouse, and office remodels
• Perform material takeoffs, quantity surveys, site walks, and subcontractor scope reviews.
• Build strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Develop polished proposals and present bids to clients with confidence.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and value-engineering discussions.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and risk factors.
• Work with leadership to refine estimating processes and strategies that support company growth.
• Track bid status, follow up consistently, and close deals.
• Maintain organized estimating documentation and update internal systems as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of proven estimating experience in commercial construction.
• Demonstrated ability to close commercial deals and maintain strong client relationships.
• Experience estimating across:
• Retail
• Grocery
• Hospitality
• Warehouse & office environments
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and pricing.
• Proficiency with estimating tools and software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• A self-starter who is motivated, organized, and driven by results.

Pay: $58, $71,021.12 per year
