Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – School-Based
Worcester Cultural Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide behavioral support and consultation within a school environment. This role involves conducting assessments, developing individualized behavior intervention plans, and collaborating with educators and support staff to promote positive student outcomes. The BCBA ensures all interventions align with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and comply with ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and skill assessments for students.
- Develop and implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) based on assessment data.
- Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and other staff to integrate behavioral strategies into classroom routines.
- Train and coach school personnel on ABA principles, data collection, and behavior management techniques.
- Monitor student progress through data analysis and adjust interventions as needed.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on behavioral goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with district policies and BACB ethical guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field.
- Current BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Experience working in educational settings with students who have autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to train and support school staff effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with special education laws and IEP processes.
- Experience with classroom-based interventions and positive behavior supports.
- Proficiency in electronic data collection systems.
Work Environment:
- School-based in a multi-building campus.
- Regular interaction with students, teachers, and families.
