Job Summary
Eastern Washington University Police Department (EWUPD) is seeking a highly skilled, professional, and motivated Executive Assistant / Clery Compliance Officer to provide high-level administrative, operational, and regulatory support within the Division of Business & Finance.
This critical role serves as both the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police and command staff—ensuring seamless operations, confidential executive support, and effective office management—and as the department's Clery Compliance Officer, responsible for ensuring EWU's full compliance with all requirements of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.

The salary for this position is $68,227 (minimum) up to $84,720 being offered. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills. Conditions of Employment

Required Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a state and federal background check.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, or related field. Substantial experience may be substituted for formal education.
- Prior experience in upper-level administrative support roles.
- Proven ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management capabilities, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
- Understanding of financial management, accounting practices and budgeting concepts.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced, high stress situations.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a responsive and flexible approach that is supportive of the needs including universal access of our students, faculty, staff and the public.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity/prior experience/training with regard to Clery Act compliance.
- Familiarity with Title IX or other regulatory reporting
- Three or more years of experience in higher education or a similar environment.
- Prior Supervisory experience
- Prior experience in a law enforcement setting.

- Manage executive calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate briefings, and prepare the Chief for all engagements.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, prepare travel requests, and complete expense reports.
