Position Summary

As a Store Manager at Top Ten Liquors, you'll lead your store to operational excellence while developing a high-performing, connected team. You'll drive sales, elevate service, and ensure every guest leaves happier than they arrived. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Team: Recruit, coach, and develop a strong team of Assistant Managers, Team Leads, and Associates. Set clear goals, hold team members accountable, and celebrate wins big and small.
  • Drive Sales & Service: Maintain a strong sales floor presence. Inspire your team to make expert recommendations, promote featured products, and build lasting customer relationships that drive results.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee all store operations, including scheduling, payroll, cash handling, inventory management, merchandising, and visual standards. Ensure every shift runs efficiently and smoothly.
  • Financial Leadership: Monitor sales performance and expenses. Manage inventory accuracy, control shrink, and make data-driven decisions that strengthen store profitability.
  • Customer Experience Leadership: Model exceptional service and resolve escalated guest concerns with empathy, ownership, and care.
  • Talent Development: Coach employees for success and create a pipeline of future leaders. Partner with the corporate team to identify growth opportunities and promote internal advancement.
  • Vendor & Community Relationships: Build strong connections with vendors, merchandisers, and local partners to create a positive presence in the community.
  • Policy & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all alcohol laws, safety standards, and company policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and secure environment at all times.
  • Communication & Reporting: Keep the corporate team informed through daily sales updates, operational insights, and feedback from your store.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of retail leadership experience (liquor, wine, or spirits industry preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire a team
  • Strong sales acumen and business management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Experience with POS and inventory management systems
  • 21+ years old (required by alcohol regulations)

Availability Requirements

  • Open availability is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

To perform the essential functions of this job, an individual must be able to meet the following physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Lifting/moving up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Bending, kneeling, reaching overhead and below waist level
  • Using hands and fingers for handling product, using registers, and performing cleaning duties
