Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic Preschool Assistant Director to lead and support our early childhood education programs. In this vital role, you will oversee daily operations of the daycare center, ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children, and collaborate with staff, and parents. Your leadership will help foster a positive atmosphere where children can thrive, learn, and develop essential skills. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily classroom activities, ensuring adherence to curriculum standards focused on childhood development and early childhood education principles.
- Support classroom staff with behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques to promote a positive learning environment.
- Oversee safety protocols, including first aid procedures and emergency response plans, to maintain a secure environment for children and staff.
- Communicate with parents and guardians to about children's daily activities, address concerns, and foster strong relationships.
- Transport children from school on 15 passenger van.
- Must get Medication Administration Training (MAT) and CPR certified.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or early childhood education environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices across various age groups including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with people with disabilities are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated classroom experience with effective classroom management skills.
- Ability to lead a team with excellent communication skills while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Experience with behavior management techniques tailored for young children with diverse needs.
- Prior experience in childcare supervision or as an assistant director is preferred but not mandatory.
