Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC lathes and related machinery, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety protocols. This role offers an opportunity to work with advanced equipment and contribute to high-quality production outputs in a dynamic factory setting.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, ensuring accurate and efficient production according to specifications.
- Program CNC lathes using CAD/CAM software, including Fanuc controls and other programmable logic controllers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols to produce precise components.
- Perform routine maintenance, tool changes, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment such as milling machines, press brake machines, stamping presses, and fabrication tools.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Conduct inspections throughout the machining process to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts or other materials handling equipment when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with assembly line teams for seamless integration of machined parts into final products.
- Support fabrication, tooling setup, welding, packaging, and other manufacturing tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC lathes with proficiency in CNC programming and CAM software.
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc controls, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
- Familiarity with machining processes including CNC milling machines, stamping presses, press brake machines, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T specifications, and use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, materials handling (forklifts), welding, assembly lines, and factory operations.
- Experience working in manufacturing facilities or factory environments with hands-on skills in machining, quality control, packaging, or warehouse operations.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in machining tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards and quality assurance.
- Prior factory or manufacturing experience is preferred; candidates should be familiar with factory tools such as hand tools and fabrication equipment. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of precision manufacturing while supporting continuous improvement initiatives within our facility.
