Requirements
Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant is essential. Strong familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Demonstrates proficiency in chair-side assisting, including taking X-rays (digital imaging), operating 3D scanners, and supporting various dental specialties such as pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry. Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and medical terminology is crucial for success in this role. Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with patients of all ages—especially pediatrics—and to coordinate with the dental team efficiently.
