Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Professional Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse environmental projects, including water resources, wastewater treatment, environmental compliance, and remediation efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in civil and environmental engineering disciplines, with proficiency in industry-standard software and regulatory knowledge. This position involves collaboration across multiple sectors such as manufacturing, oil & gas, construction, and environmental consulting, contributing to sustainable solutions and regulatory adherence.
Duties
- Design, develop, and implement water treatment and wastewater management systems utilizing tools such as SWMM, HEC, and EPA guidelines.
- Conduct environmental data collection, analysis, and research to support project development and compliance efforts.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and CAD software.
- Utilize GIS platforms like ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping related to water resources, geotechnical engineering, and environmental impact assessments.
- Manage projects from inception through completion by developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans using project management best practices.
- Ensure environmental permitting and regulatory compliance in accordance with EPA standards and environmental law.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental remediation projects involving hazardous waste management or site cleanup.
- Support construction activities by providing technical oversight on environmental aspects of project execution.
- Assist in drafting reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends including microStation drafting techniques, mechanical knowledge relevant to environmental systems, and project engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
- Proven experience with SWMM, HEC models, GIS (ArcGIS), AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and CAD drafting tools.
- Strong understanding of water treatment processes, wastewater treatment technologies, environmental law & permitting procedures.
- Knowledge of project management principles including project scheduling and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with environmental compliance standards set by EPA and other regulatory bodies.
- Experience in environmental consulting or remediation projects is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to environmental systems is a plus.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets related to water resources or geotechnical engineering issues.
- Excellent communication skills for technical writing and client interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team on diverse projects involving manufacturing or oil & gas sectors. Pay: $125,000.00 per year
