General Description:
The Business Development Representative has a crucial role focus on driving the growth. As the initial point of introduction to potential clients, the BDR is responsible for prospecting, identifying new opportunities, presenting solutions, negotiating terms, and securing contracts. This role requires maintaining a high call volume, engaging in targeted outreach campaigns, and meeting performance metrics related to new contract acquisitions. The BDR will collaborate closely with internal teams to maximize outreach effectiveness. Team collaboration with recruiting, proposals and contracting is required for effective outcomes. Success in this position involves achieving individual performance goals while promoting our core values of caring, expertise and service.
Essential Job Functions:
- Establish and maintain a robust pipeline to expand business within the assigned territory. initiating contact through high volume cold calls, emails, and networking at conferences or events to introduce the staffing services.
- Pinpoint and assess new client sales leads and expansion opportunities qualifying leads based on factors such as the size of the institution, urgency of staffing needs, and budget for staffing services
- Utilize internal and external data sources to identify potential clients ideal for our services such as LinkedIn, Gov. Spend, ZoomInfo, Public data google searches, NCES review
- Manage email campaigns and follow up weekly to uncover business opportunities to build a pipeline
- Reconnect with past clients who have not engaged with our services in 6 months or more
- Establish and develop relationships building rapport with leaders and decision-makers by demonstrating knowledge of the business landscape and the specific challenges clients face.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with leads to nurture relationships, provide updates on staffing solutions, and share relevant resources or trends
- Collaboration with SHC teams; supplying vital client information and context for effective follow up and staffing, sharing insights gained from client conversations to help tailor fulfillment to client's needs.
- Set up and conduct sales meetings with key stakeholders weekly
- Present tailored solutions to meet clients' needs and handle objections effectively; analyze data related to clients needs to identify new opportunities for staffing partnerships, especially in underserved areas or specialized fields
- Develop and expand existing client needs by targeting additional lines of business not currently under contract
- Reporting and metrics management; track outreach efforts, activities, calls, meetings, follow up effectiveness
- Analyze conversion rates to determine best strategies for growth and adjust approach accordingly
- Continuous learning to enhance understanding of evolution markets and applying best practices learned
Contribute to a high-morale, motivated, and teamwork-driven environment by finding solutions and presenting creative ideas to succeed.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Talents:
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline preferred
- Experience in sales, preferable in staffing or a related industry
- Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills with a results driven mindset
- Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills
- Proficient with corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, MS Office suite)
- Experience with CRM systems like HubSpot Sales is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Capable of managing time effectively and being self-motivated to generate a pipeline
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ethical standards, with the highest level of honesty and integrity
- Must be able to work for prolonged periods sitting, typing, and using the phone and computer
