Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cook to join our team at (Facility Name), a supportive living facility providing care for seniors and individuals with disabilities. The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies.

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, recipes, and resident dietary requirements (including modified diets such as low sodium, diabetic, or pureed).
• Ensure meals are served on time and at the appropriate temperature.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, food storage areas, and equipment.
• Assist with inventory control by properly storing food, rotating stock, and alerting supervisor to supply needs.
• Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate special meal requests or preferences when possible.
• Maintain accurate records of meals prepared, temperatures, and sanitation logs as required.
• Uphold residents' dignity and privacy while fostering a positive, home-like dining environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
