Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Administrator to develop, implement, and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. This role is critical to ensuring our aerospace products, processes, and documentation meet the necessary quality, reliability and mission assurance requirements. The Quality Administrator will work cross-functionally to support audits, improve processes, manage documentation, and drive a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System Development & Maintenance
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's QMS to ensure compliance with applicable standards (ISO 9001, AS9100 ect.).
- Maintain and manage controlled documents, records, procedures, and work instructions.
- Monitor and update quality policies and manuals as standards evolve or business needs change.
- Ensure proper configuration control of quality documentation across all departments.
Audits & Compliance
- Plan, coordinate, and support internal quality audits and external third-party audits.
- Conduct internal audits, prepare audit reports, and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings and oversee implementation of corrective actions.
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the QMS and operational processes.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and support problem-solving activities using industry-recognized tools (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize and optimize processes.
Quality Reporting & Metrics
- Collect, analyze, and present quality performance metrics, trends, and KPIs.
- Maintain logs for non-conformances, corrective actions, preventive actions, supplier performance, and other quality data.
Training & Support
- Train and guide employees on QMS processes, documentation use, and compliance requirements.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert for ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements.
- Support teams in understanding and meeting customer and regulatory quality expectations.
Supplier Quality Support
- Maintain approved supplier documentation related to quality requirements.
- Support supplier audits and supplier quality evaluations if required.
Qualifications
Required
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance and quality management principles, standards, and practices.
- 3+ years hands-on experience working with ISO 9001 and preferably AS9100 standards.
- Strong knowledge of QMS principles, documentation control, and audit processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with QMS software tools.
- Applicant must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. and must not require sponsorship for employment in the future.
Preferred
- Internal Auditor certification for ISO 9001/AS9100.
- 4+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor).

Job Type: Full-time
Projected Total Compensation: $65, $75,000.00 per year
