We are hiring an Order Picker for our state-of-the-art distribution center in Raleigh, North Carolina. This vital role focuses on accurately and efficiently gathering items to fulfill customer orders, ensuring our clients receive precisely what they need, when they need it. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications (pick tickets, scanners).
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to packing or staging areas using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, carts).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate efficient picking.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders to a supervisor.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Follow established procedures for order picking to meet productivity goals.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and assist colleagues when necessary.
- Operate electric pallet jacks and other warehouse machinery safely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to accurately pick items and meet performance targets.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks, including repetitive bending, reaching, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and wear mandated PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
