We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is crucial to the efficient operation of our distribution center, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping. Your dedication to maintaining a clean and organized workspace will contribute to overall operational success. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Accurately stock inventory in designated warehouse locations, utilizing appropriate equipment.
- Pick and pack customer orders with precision and efficiency, ensuring correct items and quantities.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling, palletizing, and staging.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively (certification may be required or provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counting procedures.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and quality control.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
