Our dynamic logistics center in Richmond, Virginia is looking for an experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage daily warehouse operations. As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods from receiving to dispatch. Your responsibilities will include supervising warehouse staff, managing inventory levels, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics principles. You will play a key role in optimizing warehouse processes, improving productivity, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. The ability to motivate a team and resolve issues effectively is essential. We prioritize a safe workplace, and you will be responsible for enforcing safety protocols, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring all team members are trained on safety procedures. While direct heavy lifting may be less frequent, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs may be required. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide warehouse associates to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Manage inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and system updates.
- Coordinate receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse layout and workflow.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety rules and procedures.
- Ensure all staff properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Train new employees on warehouse operations and safety protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
- Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and other departments.
- Monitor and manage warehouse operational costs.
- Prepare reports on warehouse performance and inventory levels.
