Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator seeking a challenging opportunity in San Francisco, California? Our bustling logistics hub is looking for a skilled individual to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and transferring products within our warehouse. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent spatial awareness, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will play an integral part in ensuring the smooth and timely movement of goods, supporting our overall warehouse operations and supply chain efficiency. The ability to navigate narrow aisles, stack items precisely, and work collaboratively with other team members is crucial. We maintain a rigorous safety culture, and all operators must be proficient in forklift safety procedures and consistently use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). This position involves significant lifting and requires the ability to operate machinery for extended periods. Experience with various types of forklifts, including reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts, is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload pallets and goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures for forklift operation.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize workflow.
- Perform other material handling duties as assigned.
- Uphold high standards of safety and operational efficiency in all tasks.
