Our Denver, Colorado facility is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. This role is essential for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack inventory. This position requires a high level of safety consciousness, precision, and experience operating powered industrial trucks. You will ensure materials are handled properly and stored in correct locations, contributing directly to the efficiency of our supply chain. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety, requiring all operators to be vigilant, follow strict procedures, and wear appropriate PPE. This role involves significant forklift operation, along with some manual lifting and general warehouse duties.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Stack and store materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and operating procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain one).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with various types of forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong commitment to safety and awareness of surroundings.
- Must wear required PPE.
