We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling logistics hub in New York City, New York. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods, materials, and products. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating various types of forklifts to load, unload, transport, and stack items within the warehouse. This includes picking and staging orders, replenishing stock, and performing daily equipment checks. Safety is our top priority, so strict adherence to all safety guidelines and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is non-negotiable. The position demands physical stamina, as frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs is required. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a dedicated team to maintain optimal workflow and inventory accuracy. A strong understanding of warehouse logistics and a commitment to maintaining a secure and organized workspace are essential. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move, stack, and stage inventory within the warehouse.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of forklift equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
- Ensure all workspace areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards.
- Comply with all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
