Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve and prepare orders for shipment using handheld scanners and order guides.
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Sort and place merchandise onto racks, shelves, or designated storage areas.
- Package products securely for transit, ensuring protection against damage.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks efficiently and safely.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking processes.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification may be required), following strict Safety guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Strictly adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those concerning Safety and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall logistics and warehouse functions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or related logistics role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including frequent standing, walking, squatting, and Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of and commitment to warehouse Safety best practices.
