Become an essential member of our warehousing team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as an Order Picker! We're looking for dedicated individuals to play a critical role in fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. Your primary focus will be on navigating our warehouse to retrieve specified items, ensuring all orders are prepared for shipment in a timely manner. This position is fundamental to our logistics network, supporting the smooth flow of goods and upholding our reputation for reliability. You'll work in a dynamic environment where speed and accuracy are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product descriptions to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to packing stations or staging areas using appropriate equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, carts).
- Stage orders for shipping, ensuring proper placement and identification.
- Assist with basic packing and labeling of orders as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and walkways are clear.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in inventory checks and stock rotation activities.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders to a supervisor.
- Perform other warehouse tasks as directed to support overall operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Capability for moderate to heavy Lifting (up to 35 lbs consistently).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with others.
- Dependable and punctual attendance is required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Understanding and adherence to Safety procedures.
