We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our vital Logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this critical role, you will expertly maneuver forklifts to move, locate, stack, and count inventory within our expansive warehouse. Your responsibilities will include safely loading and unloading materials from trucks and ensuring proper placement within storage areas. Maintaining an organized and safe work environment is a top priority, and you will be expected to adhere to all company Safety regulations and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position demands precision, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and the ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of heavy items. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, supporting our supply chain with your skilled operation of heavy machinery. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Stack and stage inventory in designated areas according to company standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and consistently wear required PPE.
- Follow all established Logistics procedures and guidelines.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Forklift Operator experience.
- Valid forklift certification/license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including manual Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse Safety best practices and procedures.
- Understanding of Logistics principles and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
