Are you an experienced Forklift Operator looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in Columbus, Ohio? We are seeking a skilled professional to join our advanced Logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your duties will extend to loading and unloading of product from trucks, trailers, and containers, ensuring accuracy and Safety at all times. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, performing routine equipment inspections, and adhering to all company Safety policies are paramount. This position requires a keen awareness of your surroundings and the ability to operate heavy machinery with precision and care. You will play a critical role in the efficient movement of goods throughout our distribution center. We provide comprehensive training, ongoing support, and all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Stack and stage merchandise accurately and efficiently.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock placement.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Follow all Logistics procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety standards and proper operation of machinery.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations and inventory control.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to wear and maintain PPE.
