Seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Picker/Packers in Indianapolis, Indiana! This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled and prepared for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves and meticulously packing them into appropriate shipping containers. Attention to detail, speed, and accuracy are key to success in this position. You will work closely with our inventory systems, utilizing scanning technology to manage stock and order fulfillment. A strong commitment to workplace safety is paramount; all associates are required to follow strict safety protocols and utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed. This role involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and occasional Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items based on order specifications using RF scanners.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Stage packed orders for shipping carriers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Proper use of PPE is mandatory.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Must be able to perform manual Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Support the overall Logistics process through diligent work.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing or general warehouse work is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capable of performing manual tasks, including occasional Lifting.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Team-oriented and able to communicate effectively.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
