We're expanding our team in Jacksonville, Florida, and seeking skilled Material Handlers to ensure the efficient flow of goods within our facility. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in receiving, storing, and dispatching a wide range of materials and products. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, organizing inventory, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. A strong focus on safety is paramount; you must strictly adhere to all safety regulations and consistently use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires physical strength and stamina, including the capacity for frequent heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and extended periods of standing and moving. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments.
- Transport materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Assist with regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Operate material handling equipment in compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize all required PPE diligently throughout your shift.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet operational goals.
- Ensure the integrity of products throughout the logistics process.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse/logistics role.
- Valid forklift operation certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a secure and efficient logistics operation.
