We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in the heart of New York City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring all packages meet shipping requirements. This role is critical to the efficient flow of goods through our distribution network. You will work closely with our warehouse staff and carrier partners to guarantee timely and accurate deliveries to our customers. Responsibilities include preparing shipping labels, verifying shipment contents against orders, and coordinating with freight carriers for pickups. Attention to detail is paramount, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in shipping software and basic computer skills are required. You will also be responsible for organizing the shipping dock, managing supplies, and communicating any shipping discrepancies. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position. We emphasize adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Regular lifting may be required, up to 50 pounds.
