Our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our growing team. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all safety standards. A strong understanding of warehouse logistics and a commitment to workplace safety are critical. This position involves regular interaction with inventory and other team members, making communication and teamwork important. You will be required to wear and maintain company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ) to ensure your safety.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport products to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on forklifts.
- Accurately record movements of goods within the WMS.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including proper use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Ensure all items are properly stacked and secured.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified forklift operator with verifiable experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Commitment to upholding high standards of safety .
- Ability to handle moderate to heavy lifting and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Familiarity with different types of warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
- Willingness to wear and care for required PPE .
- Must be able to work flexible hours if required.
