We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving, preparing, and staging customer orders within our state-of-the-art distribution center. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that products are picked efficiently and correctly to meet customer demands and maintain our high standards of service. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various equipment and technology to fulfill orders.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to customer orders and pick lists.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts, pallet jacks) as needed, after proper training and certification.
- Ensure all picked items are handled with care to prevent damage, adhering to safe lifting techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse safety and efficiency.
- Scan items to update inventory records and ensure accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor immediately.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, such as stocking or cycle counting.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and teamwork within the logistics department.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve daily operational goals and contribute to the overall success of the distribution center.
- Understand and follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Be prepared for physical demands, including frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and moderate to heavy lifting.
