Join our team in St. Louis, Missouri, as a Forklift Operator and play a key role in our daily logistics operations. We are looking for a dependable and skilled individual to operate forklifts for the movement of goods within our distribution facility. This position is vital for ensuring that our products are handled with care and efficiency, supporting our commitment to timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for moving inventory, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all protocols is expected.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound freight, ensuring goods are handled appropriately.
- Move inventory between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to 5S principles.
- Follow all established safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as stock rotation and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Expected to handle lifting of items up to 50 lbs as part of the role.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Certification or proven competency in forklift operation.
- Knowledge of safe forklift handling techniques and warehouse safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
