We are seeking a reliable Receiving Clerk to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for ensuring that all goods are accurately received, inspected, and logged into our system. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting our efficient Logistics flow. If you are organized, detail-oriented, and possess a strong commitment to Safety, we want to hear from you. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks efficiently and safely.
- Inspect shipments for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Label and tag incoming inventory for proper identification and storage.
- Stage goods for distribution to appropriate warehouse areas.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, or Logistics roles is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using computers and data entry software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse Safety best practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear and use all required PPE.
