We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team in San Jose, California. This role is crucial to our operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and quickly fulfilled. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order slips and preparing them for shipment. This involves carefully packing items, ensuring they are protected for transit, and applying appropriate shipping labels.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated locations within the warehouse using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, utilizing various packing materials.
- Verify order accuracy against pick lists to ensure all items are included.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ).
- Participate in regular inventory counts and stock checks.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily shipping targets.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including receiving and stocking.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment is preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Proficiency in basic math and reading skills.
- Comfortable with frequent bending, reaching, and **Lifting** up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to quality.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
- Must be able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
