Exciting opportunity for a Material Handler in San Francisco, California! Our logistics center is looking for a skilled and reliable Material Handler to manage the movement of materials within our facility. This role is vital for maintaining efficient operations and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our supply chain. Responsibilities include operating forklifts and other heavy equipment, loading and unloading trucks, stocking materials, and assisting with inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, excellent equipment operation skills, and a commitment to maintaining a productive work environment. Main duties include:
- Operating forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Loading and unloading shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Transporting materials to and from various locations within the warehouse.
- Stocking and organizing materials in designated storage areas.
- Performing regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Following all Safety regulations and company procedures.
- Wearing and correctly using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Adhering to strict guidelines for material handling and storage.
- Assisting other warehouse personnel as needed.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Proven experience operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Ability to perform significant Lifting, up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
- Strong understanding of workplace Safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
