We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our dynamic logistics team in Houston, Texas. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all aspects of the warehouse. This includes managing a team of warehouse associates, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining inventory integrity. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management and a strong understanding of supply chain principles. You will play a crucial role in optimizing workflow, implementing best practices, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Key responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling, performance management, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety and expect all team members to adhere to our strict PPE guidelines. This role involves frequent lifting of materials, so physical stamina is essential. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.
- Coordinate the receiving, warehousing, and distribution of products.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization for improved efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and receiving.
- Liaise with other departments and external partners to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Ensure all lifting and handling of goods are performed safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and provide ongoing training.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse supervision or a similar logistics role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in WMS software is a plus.
- Effective communication skills.
