Exciting opportunity for an Order Picker in the bustling heart of New York City, New York! We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our fast-paced logistics team. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from our warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your tasks will include using RF scanners and picking lists to locate products, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected, and staging them for further processing. Accuracy and speed are key in this role, as you play a critical part in our order fulfillment process. Safety is paramount in our New York City facility; you will receive comprehensive training and be provided with all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, and performing tasks that involve frequent lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to customer orders.
- Use handheld scanners and pick lists to identify and retrieve items.
- Verify picked items and quantities for accuracy.
- Stage picked orders in the designated area for packing.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual equipment safely.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse roles is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks involving regular lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
