This position involves significant time on your feet, walking through the warehouse, and performing tasks that require moderate lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from various warehouse locations based on order sheets or handheld scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked orders for the packing and shipping departments.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages to a supervisor.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet performance targets.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
