We are seeking a proactive Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Boston, Massachusetts. This position is vital to the efficient operation of our logistics network. You will be involved in various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming inventory, verifying quantities against documentation.
- Store inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and stock rotation.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently using handheld scanners.
- Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring correct labeling and packaging.
- Load and unload trucks and containers safely.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training may be provided).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ensure the correct and consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall function of the distribution center.
- Tasks will include significant lifting and physical activity.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are crucial.
- Familiarity with basic logistics and inventory control principles.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and occasional overtime.
