We are seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of goods through our distribution center. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and opportunities for growth within our company.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming inventory accurately.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently (certification may be required for some roles).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report any discrepancies to supervisors.
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in logistics operations.
- Perform other warehouse-related tasks as assigned by management.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all materials to prevent damage or loss.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical stamina, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
- Familiarity with basic warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, based on operational needs.
- Understanding of general logistics principles is a plus.
