Our Richmond, Virginia location is looking for a reliable Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments against documentation.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
- Accurately record received goods into the inventory management system.
- Stage materials appropriately for put-away or further processing.
- Safely operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving area, adhering to safety standards.
- Follow all company safety procedures and utilize required PPE.
- Coordinate with vendors and transport providers as necessary.
- Support inventory control activities, including cycle counts.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Effective communication skills.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
